My place? Wrong.

The apartment is the bunnies' burrow, and they just let me live with them. Here's the proof:

My BYU magazine didn't survive, but at least they left Jimmer intact. *sigh*

On other news, the bunnies have been molting like crazy. They are freakin' dandelions! *Hop* *POOF!*  *Hop* *POOF!* Jamili is much easier to pluck groom since she molts by sections... Ashy, on the other hand, molts all over on top of getting the usual tufts of hair that stick out. In addition to dried papaya I've started giving Ashy a fresh pineapple chunk a day to help with his digestion. He has had a few days of bunny indigestion which of course have freaked me out. Thankfully, a few hours after I give him some simethicone he goes back to his glutton self, but I do worry. Any tips?

Anyway, Nader and I have started taking them out once a week (usually on Sundays) to groom the lose hair away. Ashy likes the outdoors. As soon as he is plopped on the ground he begins nomming on grass. He'll continue munching away even while I run my hands through his coat to get all the hair out. Eventually he relaxes and flattens himself. It's total bunny spa for him.

*nom nom nom nom*
Jamili isn't too fond of grooming time. She doesn't mind the massaging but she doesn't really care for the outdoors. And doesn't care for grass either. On the plus side, her dislike of outside has encouraged some hoomin-bunny cuddle time. Okay... maybe that's just a plus for me, the hoomin.

"Well, mum... you're the only KNOWN thing out here so I guess you'll do for a
safety blanket since Ashy's too busy eating"

Sleepy Bun(s)

Going...
...going...

...gone.

A few seconds later I got the bunny butt. I got the message....

BONUS: Has your bunny ever freaked you out with this sort of flop?
I took 3 pictures and she wouldn't even budge! I nudged her and she finally woke up.
...and then I felt really guilty.

The bunnies have scolded me for not sharing their stories often enough. I have no excuse but the fact that I can't get into blogging mode. I'm trying! I'm trying!

Jamili's New Hangout

When you're a bunny like Jamili, nothing is off limits. The world is your... uh... burrow? And so, Jamili's new hang out spot is the dining room table chairs.

Dark, warm, soft... Yeah, this could work. Just need some hay on that chair over there,
and uh... yeah, that other chair will work as a fine litter box.

I have yet to get good video of her hopping from chair to chair, but trust me, it is pretty darn adorable. (The only thing that isn't terribly adorable are the chew marks all over the table... but I think Mr. Ashy is also to blame for those).

No, please, help yourself.

"*Crunch nom nom munch* Good choice of lettuce, Mum!"

When treats are small...

...there's a good chance the bunny will bite your finger.

I wonder what my finger tasted like. Thankfully, Ashy realized that whatever he had chomped on was not a piece of a papaya and released my finger before drawing blood.

On another note, here in Utah we had some freezing rain today. Here's a video by BYU students (my Alma Mater) "enjoying" the weather.

And in case you were wondering, I was never a good ice skater. Yeah, today was fun...

Bunny Petting Guide

The following image is being shared around Facebook by different bunny groups:

Anyone know the author?

It made me wonder about my bunnies... This is definitely Ashy, and depending on what he's up to, even his ears and head will be No-No's. However, he'll let me pet his footsies if I catch him relaxed enough. Jamili, on the other hand, is a Yes in the Meh Area, and even a Yes in the I KILL YOU zone. Jamili will even do the bunny crunching when I pet her back. I will definitely get a Hell NO! reaction if I try to touch her tummy. Kickin' footsies and everything.

Moshi was a Yes for everything except his back footsies. Bu otherwise, he enjoyed some good pettin'. Even his tummy. I'd stick my hand underneath him and he'd relax. I could also squish his face and he didn't mind. He was quite the squishable bunny.

Squishing the Moshi
Finally, Tiny was most definitely a Yes everywhere anytime. Heck... Tiny would stop eating if it meant she was getting some petting. My mom would ask us not to pet her while she ate because she worried that she wouldn't eat enough for the day!

Where do your buns enjoy being pet?

Straw balls, who knew?!

Look at what we got in the mail today!

Ashy received his prize from Speedy for winning Speedy's Christmas countdown!

Of course Ashy will be sharing with Jamili.

Ashy and Jamili are very happy with their new toys. The have done some diggin', playin', chewin', and yes, eatin'.

And here's some [crappy] video proof:

Thank you, Speedy. You and your mum are just AWESOME!
